Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reserve my wedding with very short notice?

Yes. As long as we have the date available, we may be able to accommodate your wedding within as little as 48 hours notice.

What if I need to cancel my event?

The reservation fee is non-refundable. Should you choose to re-schedule within 1 year of the originally contracted date (with at least 60 days notice), your fee will be applied to the new date.

Are there any policies regarding children?

An adult must supervise children at all times. We have a fountain and pond on the Glenwood Manor premises and want to make sure that children are safe under the watchful eye of their parents or appointed adult guardians.

May we drop flower petals down the aisle or line the aisle with petals?

We recommend and have collections which include high quality artificial petals. Due to their tendency to stain surfaces, when crushed under foot, real flower petals are not permitted.

Can my guests blow bubbles or throw birdseed, rice, or petals outside?

We encourage guests to ring bells or wave ribbon wands as the couple exits the building. These items are included in certain collections that we offer. Due to environmental consequences and the time and difficulty involved in clean-up, we do not permit the use of "toss" products.

Can I hire a catering company of my choosing?

Yes. Glenwood Manor does not provide catering services and welcomes your choice of caterer or baker.

Do you serve alcohol?

While Glenwood Manor does not serve alcohol, we welcome you to supply your own. We ask that you drink responsibly and consider that the stain and odor created by spilling alcohol can be impossible to remove from antique furnishings and flooring. We require that all food and beverages, other than water, be contained to the Garden Room or Conference Room. We appreciate the efforts made by you and your guests to respect this policy.

May I or my guests smoke?

Glenwood Manor is a non-smoking facility.

Is the use of candles permitted?

Should the ambiance of candles be desired, we recommend purchasing flameless candles or reserving our "By Candlelight" collection. The use of flame candles is not permitted on the manor premises.

Will I or my guests have to pay for parking?

No. Glenwood Manor has free dedicated parking. The parking lot will accommodate up to 16 vehicles. Though it has not happened before, if you think your guests vehicles may exceed this number, there is a park and ride available, just down the street. Cars may not be left on our lot after an event, as we may have another event scheduled.

Can I have a wedding rehearsal?

Some of our wedding collections include a rehearsal at no cost. If desired, your rehearsal would typically be scheduled at the time of your consultation.

Do your prices increase during "peak" season?

No. Our prices are based on the hours you require and the details and accessories you wish us to provide on your day, they are not raised based on the high demand during certain times of the year.

Is it required that I use the provided flower arrangements? Can I or my guests keep them?

It is not mandatory to use our floral arrangements. You are welcome to hire a florist of your choosing. The flowers provided by Glenwood Manor are intended for your convenience. Our arrangements are artificial and are only provided as a "rental", not as a "purchase" and therefore, should not be removed from the premises.
